DEERING ESTATE AT CUTLER
IN DEEP: ECO ART PRACTICE
Recognizing Miami as the most climate vulnerable city in the United States, participants from the Eco Art Residency Program and In Deep exhibition currently on view at the Deering Estate at Culter consider the roles of environmental activism, fieldwork, and interdisciplinary practices in the production of art.
Participants: Jennifer Tisthammer, Assistant Director Deering Estate at Cutler, Masters of Environmental Science: public participation and environmental decision making, Kim Yantis, MFA Exhibit Specialist at Deering Estate at Cutler; Lucinda Linderman, MFA, Environmental Mentor Artist and Curator of In Deep, Coral Morphologic artists Colin Foord and Jared McKay, Deborah Mitchell of the A.I.R.I.E. Residency Program. Other Participants will include, Representatives from The High Waterline Project, Dale Andree of National Waterdance, Keith Waddington, Prof. University of Miami; Ralph Provisero, MFA, and participating artists.
