Locust Projects is proud to present the R+D / Mobile Studio, new initiative launched by Locust Projects to amplify Locust Projects as a hub and resource for artists. The R+D / Mobile Studio offers artists an opportunity to use Locust Projects as a jumping off point for delving into new projects, convening conversations that inform new directions, and dedicating time to new or existing work at Locust Projects.

ARTS.BLACK is a journal of art criticism from Black perspectives. The journal was founded in 2014 by Taylor Renee Aldridge and Jessica Lynne.

Taylor Renee Aldridge is a Detroit based writer and curator. She received her M.L.A from Harvard University with a concentration in Museum Studies and a B.A from Howard University with a concentration in Art History. Taylor is currently the assistant curator of contemporary art at the Detroit Institute of Arts.

Jessica Lynne is co-founder and editor of ARTS.BLACK, a journal of art criticism from Black perspectives. She received her B.A. in Africana Studies from NYU. Currently, Jessica serves as the Manager of Development and Communication at Recess. She is co-editor of the forthcoming book, The Art Landscape: Voices from the Field published by Intellect Ltd. and The University of Chicago Press.
