Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Odalis Valdivieso lives and works in Miami. Since 1999, Valdivieso has exhibited widely in museums and galleries in her native Caracas, as well as in Miami, Paris, Shanghai, New York, Los Angeles, Florence, Washington D.C., Houston, to name a few. She is the recipient of several Miami-Dade Community Grants and the South Florida Cultural Consortium grant. Her work has been part of New Work Miami 2010 and 2013 at the Miami Art Museum. Recent exhibitions include Paper Folding, Dimensions Variable and Alejandra von Hartz Gallery, Miami, FL; Practices Remain, Regina Rex, NY; SET, Bridge Red, North Miami, FL; Urban Interventions, Contemporary Art Museum, Rosario; Talking Heads, Girls Club, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Grid’s World at Locust Projects, Miami, FL.
