Arsimmer McCoy: Make a Masterpiece of Me

Date & Time:

Location:

3852 North Miami Avenue
Miami, FL 33127

Join Locust Projects this Saturday, July 10 at 2pm for a workshop on empowering ourselves and our communities through poetry, facilitated by writer, educator, and cultural worker, Arsimmer McCoy. We will explore ideas around objectification and personification, guiding us to envision ourselves and each other as powerful beings through writing. Arsimmer will also share her new film, A Poem for My Black Baby, made in collaboration with Terence Price. "We will break bread, have fun, and write a lil bit." Meet at Locust Projects and walk a block to the Locust Projects Residence.  Please RSVP if you plan to attend.

This event is now sold out, as capacity is limited to create an intimate space. To be added to the waiting list, please email programs@locustprojects.org

Locust Projects’ new program, Care, features local artists who work at the intersection of self-care, relational care, and/or community care. They will create experiences at Locust Projects and beyond that nourish the whole artist, the creative force in each of us, and the communities we form and sustain.
