Described as "engaging" and "theatrically compelling", Batanero's movement throughout the space and interaction with the Antenna creates a visual narrative centered around the idea of communication and connection.

ABOUT Ivonne Batanero
Ivonne Batanero, choreographer-dancer, was born in Lima, Peru. She received a BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Batanero is a three-time commissioned artist by Miami Light Project for their annual Here and Now Festival. She dances with Rosie Herrera Dance Theater and Adele Myers and Dancers and was awarded a grant by the Miami Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs for the 2016-2017 Dance Miami Choreographers Program. Batanero, also, run the community initiative, Greedy Pumpkin Head Projects, whose mission is to support the professional development of the Miami dance scene.
