At those moments when contemporary art talks become insular, impossibly esoteric, or drift into territory no one knows much about, maybe it’s best to call a life-line. Whether sought out or entirely unsolicited, fathers often offer their two-cents to their adult children. This might be embarrassing, hilarious, right on, or right off. What might happen if a Roundtable discussion concerning a specific topic in contemporary art were extended to an exterior panel of participant’s Dads? Inevitably this will change the course of the conversation, encourage insight from other fields, and expose familial dialogue.
