GOING VIRTUAL THIS SUMMER FOR OUR 10TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR!
Create and collaborate this summer with Locust Projects!
DON'T MISS BEING A PART OF THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR OF LAB!
A summer art intensive for teens with an interest in art, design and exploring creative careers. LAB is free to all accepted students. All students will receive a $500 honoraria to participate (online attendance is mandatory) in addition to a BUILDER BOX delivered to your door.
Program Dates: Starts Wednesday, July 7 through July 30, 2020; Tuesday-Thursday 1-3pm weekly
For four weeks, 25 young artists from high schools across Miami-Dade County will be invited to work with established contemporary artists in a dynamic online program to learn about the practical and creative aspects of mounting a public exhibition on a highly visible exterior space near Locust Projects' gallery in the Miami's Design District.
Celebrating its 10th Anniversary year, LAB encourages students to develop ideas and work collaboratively. This unique, hands-on program invites creative teens to widen their perspectives, connect with peers and established arts professionals, learn about creative careers, build their portfolio, and gain the behind-the-scenes experience of producing a collaborative project from scratch.
Community service hours may be available to qualified students. Ask your school for details.
To apply, students must have completed at least one year of high school by June 2020. Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders, as well as graduating 12th graders are all eligible to apply. CLICK HERE TO APPLY.
