Create and collaborate this summer with Locust Projects!
Applications are now open for the ninth year of Locust Art Builders (LAB), a four-week summer art intensive for teens with an interest in art, design and exploring creative careers.
Program Dates: Mon-Fri, June 17-July 12, 2019 9am-3pm; (except July 4).
Public Reception for Family and Friends: Saturday, July 13, 6-8pm
For four weeks, 25 young artists from high schools across Miami-Dade County work with established contemporary artists to learn about the practical and creative aspects of mounting a public exhibition in Miami's Design District.
Encouraging attendees to develop ideas and work collaboratively, LAB is a unique hands-on program for creative teens to widen their perspectives, connect with peers and established arts professionals, learn about creative careers, build their portfolio, and gain the behind-the-scenes experience of producing an art exhibition.
